First Lady Kimberly Carr, a native of Vallejo, California. First Lady Carr attended & graduated from James J. Hogan Senior High School. While in high school, First Lady Carr was involved in numerous organizations and participated in several sports. In addition to her involvement in extracurricular activities, she was also very focused on her academics, and as a result, she graduated in the top of her class. Upon graduation, First Lady Carr went on to attend Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
A dedicated and loving wife to Rev. D. Previn Carr, Pastor of Ekklesia Christian Church and proud mother of daughter Kailah Brenae, First Lady Carr is truly dedicated to their team ministry. Her commitment to the ministry is exhibited through her many roles within the Ekklesia ministry. First Lady Carr is the Director of Christian Education, Women's Ministry leader, and performs many administrative duties within the church. First Lady Carr also has a heart and passion for working with young people and has faithfully and tirelessly worked with the Youth Ministry in various capacities, from teaching Youth Bible Study and Sunday school classes to teaching dance routines and sign language. She has also been a mentor to many young people as they strive to be what God has made them to be. First Lady Carr believes that every young person is special and has the potential within them to achieve whatever they set their mind to do. She uses every opportunity to encourage them to strive for excellence, reach for the stars, and believe that their dreams can come true.
First Lady Carr not only exhibits and exercises her gift of teaching and preaching at the Ekklesia Christian Church, but she also teaches Math at Westview High School, which has given her many opportunities to minister and mentor many young people. In addition, Pastor and First Lady Carr have also opened their home to minister the love of Christ to children by becoming licensed foster parents. These are just a few examples of why Kimberly Carr has shown herself worthy to be called Ekklesia's First Lady.
A friend to many, First Lady Carr has exhibited the power and love of God through her life and ministry. Whether through teaching the Word of God, or mentoring our young people, she continually encourages all who come in contact with her to be all God has destined them to be. She is continually seeking the hand of God to be with her as she endeavors to continue to assist in the work of the ministry and be the best helpmate, mother, and wife that God has called her to be. |
